Snowy council wins $5m for bridge fixing

NSW

Snowy Monaro Regional Council has secure close to $5 million from Transport for NSW’s Fixing Country Bridges funding round 2B.

The Council will receive $1,683,835 for Rossys Creek Bridge on Corrowong Road, $1,277,036 for Killarney Bridge on Tayfield Road and $1,960,001 for Matong Creek Bridge on Matong Road.

“This is fantastic news for our community as it builds on the $7,875,612.66 received earlier under round 2A,” Council said in a statement.

The earlier funding saw the reconstruction of Cambalong Bridge and Redcliffe Bridge in Palarang, Cambalong 2 Bridge, Darbys Gully Bridge in Nimmitabel and Black Flat Bridge, in Williamsdale.

“A key reason for the success in this very competitive funding environment across NSW has been Council’s ability to demonstrate to Transport for NSW significant progress on round 2A bridge projects and other road infrastructure projects,” the Council said.
