Penrith City Council has adopted the Together in Cranebrook Neighbourhood Action Plan, which outlines a shared future and 15 actions to strengthen connections, wellbeing and opportunities in Cranebrook.
The plan was informed by extensive community engagement conducted during its development in 2023-25 and public exhibition in mid-2026, with more than 2,500 people participating in 22 in-person activities delivered in partnership with 25 community organisations.
Mayor, Todd Carney (pictured) thanked the community for helping to shape the plan and said he looked forward to seeing the actions come to life over the next two years.
“The Together in Cranebrook Neighbourhood Action Plan has been shaped by the people who know Cranebrook best: its residents, community leaders and local organisations,” Mayor Carney said.
“It provides a clear direction for Council and our partners to work together on the priorities and opportunities that matter most to the local community, achieve our aspirations for Cranebrook and ensure Cranebrook continues to be a connected, supported and safe community.”
Council will now begin implementing the plan through its Neighbourhood Renewal Program, working alongside residents, local organisations and government agencies to deliver the actions and support positive outcomes for the Cranebrook community.
The plan outlines 15 practical actions are outlined across four focus areas – connection to First Nations culture, place-based sector coordination, recreation and activities, and safety and belonging.
