SA workshop to discuss Murray-Darling resnagging

The South Australian Department for Environment and Water (DEW) is set to hold a workshop to share information on upcoming projects and potential resnagging of the Murray River.

“These workshops will discuss the resnagging guidelines that have been prepared to plan for projects that focus on reintroducing snags into the River Murray and the funding available through DEW and other grants through tohe program,” the LGA SA said.

The Murray-Darling Healthy Rivers Program is part of the Australian Government’s Murray-Darling Communities Investment Package.

The program will provide $20 million to fund community-led grants for practical on-ground actions that will improve the health of rivers and wetlands in the Murray–Darling Basin.

The Department for Environment and Water (DEW) workshop will share information on some of the projects they are undertaking in relation to this program.
