Parkes launches new grants portal

Community groups and businesses in the central western NSW town of Parkes will be able to find grants more easily with the launch of a free funding platform on the Parkes Shire Council website.

Parkes Shire Council has joined forces with grant search engine, GrantGuru, to simplify the process of finding a grant and deliver a free and easy to use website.

“All you need to do is register on the Parkes Shire Grant Finder ( site to give you access to the 364 community grants worth $28.5 billion currently available,” said Mayor, Neil Westcott.

He said the platform would be a valuable tool for the community, simplifying the process of finding and applying for grants.

“We are committed to supporting our local businesses and community groups, and this initiative will help them navigate the process of finding grants,” said Mayor Westcott.

Key features of the Parkes Shire Grant Finder:

  • Free and easy to use: Simply register on the platform ( to gain access to the extensive grant database;
  • Powerful search filters: Narrow down your search by location, industry, and project type to find the most relevant grants for your needs;

Council’s grants team will hold two community drop-in sessions on 8 March and 15 March to introduce the new search engine and help community members to get registered on the website.
