Councillor Gil Kelly has been elected the new Mayor of Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council.
At the same meeting, Gundagai Councillor Penny Nicholson was elected unopposed to the position of Deputy Mayor.
“I am extremely honoured to be in the role,” said Mayor Kelly.
“Congratulations must also be extended to Councillor Penny Nicholson who was also elected last night to the position of Deputy Mayor.
“I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the outgoing Mayor Sheahan for his dedicated service and hard work over the past three years. His passionate leadership has truly made a positive impact, and I am grateful for all he has done.”
