WA’s Shire of Murray is calling for feedback on its Coastal Hazard Risk Management and Adaptation Plan (CHRMAP).
Shire President, Councillor David Bolt said erosion and inundation along Murray’s waterways were an increasing risk, and community input into CHRMAP would help shape how it is managed.
“Here at the Shire of Murray, we know the management of the estuarine riverine areas and
foreshore reserves, and the mitigation of associated risks, is integral to the Shire’s ongoing and future success,” said Councillor Bolt.
“To best protect our community, we have developed a Coastal Hazard Risk Management and Adaptation Plan and this is currently open for comment. I encourage the community to visit our website to share their insights.”
