Bass Coast Shire Council has announced the appointment of APS Drainage and Civil for the execution of major culvert relining works on Loch-Kernot Road, between Stewart Road and Garry Road, Kernot.
Commencing on 13 May, the construction works are estimated to span six weeks, subject to favourable weather conditions and the availability of contractors, suppliers, and materials, the Council said today.
The total budget allocated for the infrastructure project is $750,000.
“This funding is sourced partly from the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program (LRCIP) Phase 4B, amounting to $532,000, and partly from the Council’s 2023/24 Capital Works Program, contributing $218,000,” Council said.
“This project’s main objective is to rejuvenate the culvert structure and fortify the road against erosion at the specified location.”
