Woollahra’s first electric vehicle fast charger – and the LGA’s sixth public EV charger – has been installed, Woollahra Municipal Council announced this week.
The new 75kW charger, which is located at Dorhauer Lane, is powered with 100% renewable energy, providing a full zero emissions charge in under an hour, the Council said in a statement.
The new charger was added in coordination with Waverley and Randwick Councils as part of the growing Eastern Suburbs Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station Network.
Woollahra Municipal Council has installed public electric vehicle charging stations in Paddington, Bellevue Hill, Double Bay, Rose Bay and Vaucluse as part of the jointly-funded 3-Council Regional Environment Program.
Council says further sites will be added to the electric vehicle (EV) network as the uptake of EVs grows.
