Councillor Sam Stratikopoulos has been elected as Georges River Council’s new Deputy Mayor for a period of 12 months.
Representing the Blakehurst Ward, the Council says Cr Stratikopoulos brings a wealth of experience, a deep connection to the local community, and a strong commitment to public service.
“This is not just a title, it is a responsibility, a privilege, and above all, an opportunity to continue serving the wonderful people of our community,” the new Deputy Mayor said.
“I warmly congratulate Councillor Sam Stratikopoulos on his election as Deputy Mayor. He has demonstrated strong leadership and a deep commitment to our community, and I look forward to working closely with him over the next year,” said Mayor, Elise Borg.
“I’d also like to thank outgoing Deputy Mayor Councillor Nancy Liu for her service over the past year. Her contribution has been greatly valued.”
