Lincolnville Kindergarten has been transformed from a single room service into a modern, three-room facility for up to 99 children, creating a larger and brighter learning environment.
Made possible through a partnership between Moonee Valley City Council and the Victorian Government, the upgrade also includes new Maternal and Child Health consulting rooms, as well as a vibrant outdoor play space.
The redeveloped Lincolnville Kindergarten delivers:
- three rooms with capacity for 99 children;
- two new Maternal Child Health suites;
- quality play spaces;
- safety and accessibility that meets supervision and licensing requirements.
As part of the Building Blocks partnership, the Victorian Government is providing over $20 million to fund upgrades to five Moonee Valley kindergartens, which will see more than 500 new kinder places become available in the inner north-west municipality by 2028-29.
“We’re thrilled to welcome families to the newly upgraded Lincolnville Kindergarten, which is more spacious, contemporary and welcoming than ever,” said Mayor, Rose Iser.
“This is a major infrastructure investment that demonstrates our commitment to delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of families and children across the municipality.
“It was important to act. Our population data and service availability predicted a shortage of kindergarten places in the Keilor East neighbourhood in the coming decade, and this project directly responds to that challenge
