The new elected members of Mount Isa City Council have been officially sworn in at a recent Post-Election Meeting.
During the meeting, Council resolved to appoint Councillor Kim Coghlan as Council’s Deputy Mayor for a period of 12 months; while the Electoral Commission of Queensland formally declared the election of Peta MacRae (pictured, below) as Mayor.
The Councillors and their portfolios are:
- Cr Dan Ballard:Â Finance & Customer Service
- Cr Travis Crowther:Â Economic Development
- Cr John Doyle:Â Tourism, Events, Sports and Recreation & Youth
- Cr James Coghlan:Â Environment, Local Laws, Development & Town Planning
- Cr Kim Coghlan:Â Parks & Gardens, Splashez, Library
- Cr John Tully:Â Works & Engineering, Water & Sewerage, Waste Management.
