Toowoomba Regional Council has announced City Venue Management (CVM) as the new operator for Milne Bay Aquatic and Fitness Centre and Highfields Aquatic and Fitness Centre.
Environment and Community Services Committee Chair, Councillor James O’Shea said the appointment was a great outcome for the region’s aquatic and fitness centres.
“City Venue Management will be taking over operation of these facilities from Monday 4 September,” Cr O’Shea said.
“CVM is an industry leader in Aquatic and Sporting Facility Management, and we’re excited to have them on board.”
CVM currently operate over 30 aquatic and fitness centres across South East Queensland.
“This move will ensure these facilities can continue to provide contemporary programs and services for many years to come.”
“Our focus continues to be to provide a range of high-class fitness and recreation facilities for our community.
“Council is working closely with CVM to ensure there is a seamless transition to this new operating model for customers and members alike.
“I’m excited to see what CVM can bring to the aquatic and fitness industry in our Region,” said Cr O’Shea.
External operators have also been appointed to Millmerran Aquatic Centre and Millmerran Indoor Sports Centre.
