Applications for the 2025 AR Bluett Memorial Award – which recognises the councils that have demonstrated the most excellence and progress over the past year – are due to close on 1 August.
The application process has been streamlined to ensure all councils are able to apply by setting out key achievements in a simple format.
This award is an ideal opportunity to reflect upon the great work of your council over the previous year and have your council recognised for that achievement.
The Award is presented in two categories:
- City and Regional Councils – this includes city, metropolitan and major regional rural councils;
- Rural Councils – this includes all other rural councils.
The two categories provide fairness and equity for all councils, while at the same time preserving the original intent of the AR Bluett Memorial Trust Deed to judge councils on relative progress.
Last year’s winners were Bega Valley Shire Council and Lake Macquarie City Council.
