Kiama opens tender for wedding caterers

Kiama Council has announced an open tender for caterers and catering companies to administer weddings at The Pavilion Kiama.

The Council is seeking experienced caterers who can provide a comprehensive range of wedding catering services for a thee-year contract from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2026.

“Our incumbent wedding caterer, Culinarius will have been with us for seven years. They have been a fantastic business partner who have delivered hundreds of weddings and won numerous awards. We thank Culinarius sincerely for their hard work and great results,” said Kiama Council CEO, Jane Stroud.

“In line with the Local Government Act, we are now going out to tender to renew this contract and we’re encouraging any and all suppliers to apply, whether they’re based locally, regionally or beyond.

“This is a high-profile contract, supplying beautiful wedding fare for guests at our incredible venue, The Pavilion” said Ms Stroud. “We are justifiably proud of our offering for couples who choose Kiama for their Big Day and we will continue to deliver that with the successful tenderer.”

The selected caterer or catering company will be expected to provide the following:

  • Complete service of all wedding requirements at The Pavilion, Kiama;
  • Conducting all site inspections for prospective wedding clients in a professional manner and managing client relationships to ensure an exceptional service reputation;
  • Managing all financial outlays relating to the wedding operations;
  • Implementation and ongoing commitment to providing exceptional services.

Further, interested parties will be asked to supply evidence of their catering experience, marketing experience, business plans, sample menus and pricing packages and to demonstrate their ability to work with Council to increase the income and volume of weddings at The Pavilion.

The documents on Tenderlink provide further information, Tender Requirements and particulars in terms of operating days and expectations.

Interested parties are invited to book a site inspection at The Pavilion on 20 September.
