The City of Whittlesea has welcomed the Victorian Government’s appointment of Chris Eddy to the Panel of Administrators, joining Chair Administrator, Lydia Wilson and Administrator, Peita Duncan.
Mr Eddy (pictured) commenced his role as Administrator yesterday. He has extensive local government experience including his most recent appointment as Interim CEO at LGPro (VIC) from July 2020 to March 2021.
For 13 years, Mr Eddy served at Hobsons Bay City Council including almost six years as CEO (2012-2018).
Ms Wilson said she was pleased to welcome Mr Eddy to the panel, acknowledging his depth of experience in the sector and broad range of skills.
“Administrator Duncan and I are really looking forward to working together with Mr Eddy, as the Panel of Administrators continue to provide the organisation with governance stability and represent our rapidly growing and diverse community,” Ms Wilson said.
Mr Eddy’s appointment comes after former Administrator, Bruce Billson resigned to take up a role within the Federal Government.
The Panel of Administrators acts as the Council at the City of Whittlesea and will be in place until the next local government election in October 2024.
