City of South Perth Councillor, Bronwyn Waugh, has announced her resignation from the organisation, effective immediately.
Elected in 2023 to represent the Como ward, Cr Waugh has advocated for responsible urban planning, provision of community facilities, and ensuring that the city’s growth is balanced with the preservation of its natural beauty and heritage, the Council said in a statement.
She served as Deputy Mayor for a two-year term and sat on the City’s Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee, CEO Selection Committee (Presiding Member) and CEO Evaluation Committee. She was also a delegate to the WALGA South-East Metropolitan Zone and member of the Metro Inner Development Assessment Panel Group.
On behalf of the City, Mayor Greg Milner thanked Ms Waugh for her service.
“I’d like to thank Councillor Waugh for her contribution to the Council and the City during which time she has been a strong advocate for the local community where she lives and works,” he said.
“We wish her the best for the future.”
