City of Melton Council has helped to officially open a new $13 million over-50s resort-style clubhouse in Melbourne’s outer west.
To mark the grand opening, City of Melton Mayor, Lara Carli and Councillor John Verdon joined with Vantage Bloomdale by AVID Property Group (AVID) representatives for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony before welcoming current residents and more than 200 prospective residents of the over-50s neighbourhood to the launch event.
AVID General Manager Victoria, Penny Forrest said the opening marked a significant milestone for the project – the developer’s first in Victoria – and celebrated the role the Clubhouse will play in promoting mental and physical wellness within the community for years to come.

“We have been committed to the wellbeing of our residents, and it was fantastic to have residents, our team, and key members of the community come together to see this come to fruition with the official opening of the Clubhouse,” Ms Forrest said.
“The Clubhouse will serve as the core of the community, a constant welcoming space for residents to come to enjoy the finer things in life – whether it’s relaxation, recreation, creativity or entertainment, all the best of Vantage Bloomdale will be found here.
“As we continue to welcome in new residents the Clubhouse will bring together neighbours to nurture a feeling of togetherness and belonging, grounding the growing community in one central space designed with their happiness in mind.”
Set on 11.8 hectares, Vantage Bloomdale in Diggers Rest, Victoria is AVID Property Group’s (AVID) first land lease community in the state.
Neighbouring the existing Bloomdale community, Vantage Bloomdale is delivering 304 homes over the next five years. The construction of Stage 1 and the community amenities is officially complete.
