Bundaberg approves new aviation precinct

A large commercial space featuring offices, showrooms and room for food outlets will be constructed in the region’s aviation precinct after a development application was approved by Bundaberg Regional Council.

The vacant site at 15 Aviation Crescent, Kensington, is currently made up of vacant land in the Bundaberg Regional Aviation and Aerospace Precinct, an 11-hectare multi-stage master planned industrial development adjoining the Bundaberg Regional Airport.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service is located directly south-west of the site and the Bundaberg Regional Council Airport is located 100 metres south of the subject site.

Once constructed, the site will include a large commercial building that will allow for five future tenants, plus 22 parking spaces with one designated disabled parking bay.

Each of the five sections of the building will feature:

  • warehouse (ground floor)
  • office (ground floor)
  • toilet (ground floor)
  • office (first floor level)
  • warehouse/mezzanine store (first floor level)

Applicant Dandelion Projects has detailed that the development involves a vacant site at 15 Aviation Crescent, Kensington, to be utilised to facilitate future commercial and industrial uses.
