Work has officially begun on a new 4.8-hectare public open space at Kinmore Green in Darch, with a sod-turning ceremony held on Friday to mark the start of construction.
Delivered by Parcel Property through a joint commitment with the City of Wanneroo Council, the new public open space will provide a new destination for sport, recreation and community connection, with the park set to open early 2027.
Once complete, the new public open space will offer something for residents of all ages, including:
- A new playground
- Double cricket practice nets
- Multi-use community sports fields suitable for AFL, soccer and cricket
- Outdoor exercise equipment
- A multi-use court with basketball and netball hoops
- Shaded seating and picnic tables
Parcel Property General Manager, Jeremy Cordina said the new park would be an important part of creating a connected and thriving community at Kinmore Green.

City of Wanneroo Mayor, Linda Aitken said quality public open space was an important part of creating connected and liveable neighbourhoods across the City.
“As our City continues to grow, we want to make sure our communities have access to quality parks and open spaces where people can be active, spend time together and feel connected to their neighbourhood,” she said.
“With sports fields, exercise facilities, a playground and spaces to gather, Kinmore Green will be a welcome addition to Darch and a great space for people of all ages to enjoy.”
Kinmore Green is Parcel Property’s boutique community in the heart of Darch, surrounded by schools, shopping, parks and recreation facilities and just 20km from the Perth CBD.
The community will comprise of 311 lots, with more than half already sold.
The new public open space will add to the established amenity surrounding Kinmore Green, giving residents even more opportunities to get outdoors, stay active and connect with their neighbours.
