Adelaide Hills residents can now dispose of hard-to-recycle items through new Recycling Wall Hubs at three local libraries.
Adelaide Hills Council has unveiled the new wall hubs at the Stirling, Woodside and Gumeracha libraries.
“The joint initiative with the Adelaide Hills Region Waste Management Authority is a response to our community wanting more ways to divert waste from landfill, by making recycling more accessible,” Council said in a statement.
“Residents can now visit their local library and drop off batteries, old mobile phones, small eWaste items, household cords and XRays – which will then be recycled via the Heathfield Resource Recovery Centre.”
