Swan Hill pool contract awarded

Swan Hill Rural City Council has awarded Belgravia Leisure its Management and Operation of Leisure and Aquatic Services contract, building upon a partnership first created 20 years ago.

Mayor, Les McPhee said Council was delighted to be continuing the strong partnership with Belgravia Leisure.

“Council Officers have worked hard through an open, competitive tendering process to achieve an outcome for the community that will see the introduction of new leisure services to compliment the wide variety of programs and activities already being undertaken by Belgravia Leisure,” he said.

Swan Hill Leisure Centre’s Centre Manager, Karla Barnes said Belgravia Leisure was delighted to be continuing its work in offering health and fitness opportunities to the communities of Swan Hill and Robinvale.

“To kick us off with a bang, we will be soon commencing a major upgrade to our Swan Hill facility – providing a one stop shop for the community’s health and wellness needs,” Ms Barnes said.

Mayor McPhee said Council was looking forward to an exciting new chapter in the local leisure offerings for local residents.

“We are delighted to see our current Leisure Centre expansions projects continuing to progress and come to life – it is a really exciting time for health and wellness in our municipality.

“We can expect to see the new Swan Hill Leisure Centre Dry Fitness Room completed by the end June 2023 and the Robinvale Expansion project (high ball court and expanded gym) by January 2024.

“Belgravia Leisure will shortly be providing further details about the new and innovative programs including a baby friendly fitness session, 24/7 access in Swan Hill and Robinvale, reformer Pilates and virtual fitness sessions,” Mayor McPhee said.
