Fraser Coast Regional Council has announced the appointment of Councillor Paul Truscott as its new Deputy Mayor.
Cr Truscott said he was honoured to take on the role again, after having previously served as Deputy Mayor for a year from March 2022 to March 2023.
“The Fraser Coast is a dynamic, rapidly growing region which brings a range of challenges and opportunities for Council and the community,” he said.
“As a Council, we are committed to providing focused service delivery, maintaining financial sustainability, effectively managing and maintaining our assets, and planning for the future.
“I am eager to contribute my skills, experience, and passion as Deputy Mayor. I look forward to working diligently alongside all Councillors and staff to foster a positive and productive work environment.
“I am ready and excited for the opportunity to serve our community once again in this capacity, and I look forward to working closely with the Mayor and all my Council colleagues to build better communities together.”
Council’s first Ordinary Meeting for the 2024 – 2028 term will be on Wednesday 24 April 2024 at 10am in the Hervey Bay Council Chambers.
