Brisbane City Council has a new Chief Executive Officer, with Kerrie Freeman endorsed today by the city’s Civic Cabinet.
Ms Freeman’s (pictured) selection will be ratified at tomorrow’s Council meeting.
“Our Council team is committed to keeping Brisbane moving and Kerrie will play an important role helping us make that happen,” said Lord Mayor, Adrian Schrinner.
“With her experience leading large complex organisations, Kerrie will play a critical role helping us build better roads, improve public transport, keep costs down for residents and make Brisbane’s lifestyle even better.”
Ms Freeman has a PhD in Community Health, a Bachelor of Business Studies and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
She is currently CEO of the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network which has a workforce of more than 9,500 people. She was also previously the chief executive of West Moreton Health (2017-2022) and executive director hospital services of Children’s Health Queensland (2015-2017).
