Netball goal for City of Whittlesea

Victoria’s City of Whittlesea Council has partnered with Hazel Glen College to build a $2.6 million netball facility at the school.

The project will provide a Netball Victoria compliant training venue to support growth in netball participation for across Doreen, including Hazel Glen Netball Club.

The new facility will include sports lighting and a roof to provide a sheltered space for year-round access to netball training, casual basketball use, additional PE classes, school assemblies and presentations, and community showcase events.

The gates will remain open for general community access after hours when not being used by a sports club, Council said in a statement today.

Construction is anticipated to begin in spring 2022, with Hazel Glen College and the Council now pursuing external funding opportunities for the project.
