The successful tenderer for Mornington Peninsula Shire’s Cleaning Contract has been appointed.
The Council says the cleaning contract forms part of its reshaped maintenance services delivery model, for the effective and efficient management of more than $2.3 billion worth of community assets.
From July 2024, Happsa Group Pty Ltd will provide cleaning services for over 100 community facilities, including halls and maternal and child health centres.
They will also take on litter collection in high profile precincts and look after the cleaning of public toilets, foreshore amenity blocks and public BBQs.
“Having clean community facilities is something that can sometimes be taken for granted. However, a lot of time and money is spent in ensuring community facilities present well day in and day out. Thank you to all the hard-working cleaners that have been providing this service for many years,” said Mayor, Simon Brooks.
“We are looking forward to seeing the outcomes of having a more prescriptive contract in place. The new contract sets out what is expected at each location in greater detail. This will help the Contractor and Council to maximise the energy spent on service delivery from day one.”
Happsa will provide the services for up to seven years.
