Fourteen local students will start their university studies on the right note with financial support from Logan City Council and other South East Queensland businesses and organisations.
The $5,000 Tertiary Education Bursaries are awarded annually to City of Logan students starting full-time undergraduate studies in that year.
Acting Mayor, Councillor Natalie Willcocks said the successful recipients for 2023 had the world at their feet after finishing Year 12 last year.
“As a former teacher, I was always so proud to see students achieving big things in life after school,” Cr Willcocks said.
“For some families, the costs associated with further study can be quite expensive.
“Council coordinates the bursary program to give a helping hand to students throughout their studies, and we thank our funding partners for their support.”
