Join the LGNSW Networks Hub

Did you know that LGNSW has a number of free and interactive networks created especially for council staff?

Whatever your role at council, LGNSW has a network that can help you discuss and share issues unique to your area of expertise. These networks have proven to be particularly useful for staff to ask questions of one another, share templates and best practice advise relevant to the local government sector.

LGNSW have over 20 networks available to join, covering areas including:

Are you interested in a new network?

Following feedback from councils, LGNSW is asking if more networks are needed. An Expression of Interest (EOI) for the following proposed networks is out for your consideration. Please note: Membership in these networks is only available to NSW council staff.

Caravan Parks Network
LGNSW is exploring the level of interest in a possible Caravan Park Network Group. This Network will enable council employees such as health and safety officers, planners, rangers and compliance staff to connect, share information and discuss local government issues around the regulation, maintenance and management of caravan parks.

“PSUP” Network
LGNSW is exploring the level of interest in a network for council officers who have an interest or role in implementing the new Public Spaces (Unattended Property) Act 2021 (PSUP Act). The proposed “PSUP” Network would enable council employees involved in implementing the PSUP Act to connect, share information and discuss local government and governance issues around the regulation and management of unattended property (abandoned shopping trolleys, e-bikes, vehicles and the like).

Companion Animals Network
LGNSW is exploring the level of interest in a network for council officers who have an interest or role in regulation of companion animals. It would enable council staff involved in all aspects of companion animal compliance and regulation to connect, share information and discuss local government and governance issues.
