The NSW Government is offering fee-free, industry-aligned short courses for young people aged between 16-24 who have left school and want to learn new skills.
The Summer Skills program offers a mix of free online and face-to-face training courses that will develop skills required across many industries, including local government.
Courses are offered in the fields of information technology, cyber security, digital skills, construction, animal care, aged care, pool lifeguard, amongst others.
To be eligible for a fee-free course, applicants need to be aged 16-24 and have left school permanently, be living or working in NSW, and be an Australian New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or humanitarian visa holder.
Eligible applicants can access this training regardless of employment status or prior qualifications.
