Frankston City Council has unveiled a range of merchandise, designed to allow local residents to show their love for the suburb they live in.
Council says the unique collection showcases the pride residents have for their local areas while also raising funds for local charities.
Each item in the collection features a heart symbol alongside the name of the suburb, for example, “I ❤ Seaford”.
From cozy beanies to mugs and vibrant stickers, the merchandise allows residents to
proudly declare their love for their neighbourhood, said Mayor, Nathan Conroy.
“This limited-edition merchandise celebrates the unique spirit and sense of community that thrives within Frankston City,” he said.
“We are proud to offer our residents an opportunity to showcase their love for their suburbs and foster a strong sense of belonging. By purchasing these items, residents are not only expressing their pride, but they are also contributing to a worthy cause.”
Council will donate 10% of the profits from merchandise sales to the Frankston Charitable Fund.
The Frankston Charitable Fund is part of the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Fund, established 100
years ago. It raises much-needed funds to assist charitable organisations that operate in the Frankston community, assisting our communities most vulnerable.
Last month, the Frankston Charitable Fund gave eight local charities a share in $42,685, supporting our local community due to the rising cost of living and increased demands for services following the global pandemic.
“We believe that every suburb in Frankston City has its own unique charm and countless reasons to be proud,” said Mayor Conroy.
“This collection embodies the love residents have for their neighbourhoods and encourages exploration, appreciation, and community engagement.”
The range is being sold at the Frankston Visitors Information Centre, located at the Frankston Foreshore.
