Councillor Charbel Saliba has been elected as the new Fairfield City Council Deputy Mayor.
Fairfield City Mayor, Frank Carbone (pictured, left, with Cr Saliba) congratulated Councillor Saliba on his appointment and thanked Councillor Reni Barkho for his work as Deputy Mayor over the past year.
Councillor Saliba has been a Councillor since 2012, being re-elected at the 2016 and 2021 local government elections.
He is Chairperson of Council’s Services Committee and Traffic Committee and a member of Council’s Multicultural Advisory Committee and Performance Review Committee.
