The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) is seeking council road managers interested in participating in a trial of a new spatial mapping system for heavy vehicle routes.
The aim of the project is to deliver a single national map that will display all gazetted and pre-approved networks allowing industry to route against these networks in the first instance.
Participation in the pilot with give road managers opportunities to provide feedback on the National Spatial Program system and approach so that it delivers on its promise to ultimately reduce the number of route assessment applications councils will need to review.
