City of Sydney Council is calling for applicants aged 15 to 25 to be part of an exciting program that’s giving young people the chance to make a real impact in the local government area.
Council’s youth civic participation program aims to empower young people to have a voice, act on matters that concern them and actively contribute to shaping significant City of Sydney events.
As a program participant, the Council says you will:
- contribute unique ideas
- co-design and shape events such as such as Youth Week and International Day of People with Disability with other participants
- take part in monthly workshops, training sessions and community events when you are available over a 12-month term
Program benefits:
- make a real impact in your community
- develop leaderships skills by attending specialised training sessions
- network with like-minded young people
- gain practical experience in event management, marketing, communication and community engagement
- receive a signed certificate by Clover Moore, Lord Mayor of Sydney and a letter of recommendation from the Australian School of Entrepreneurship
The program is open to young people who live, work, study or play in the City of Sydney municipality.
If you’re passionate about making a difference and want to actively contribute to the City of Sydney’s key events, Council invites you to express your interest in becoming a program participant.
