Camden Council has announced the return of its much-loved International Women’s Day Gala, which is set to take place on Thursday 6 March at the picturesque Gledswood Homestead and Winery.
This year’s keynote speaker is TV presenter, Edwina Bartholomew, best known for her work on Channel 7’s Sunrise morning show.
Edwina will share stories from her career as well as her personal journey, offering attendees her insights on resilience, leadership, and ‘making a difference’.

Council says the evening promises to be an unforgettable celebration of women’s achievements, featuring:
- – A two-course meal and drinks package;
- – An inspiring keynote address by Edwina Bartholomew;
- – A Mayoral address;
- – The presentation of the Camden Woman of the Year Award; and networking opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals.
Mayor of Camden, Ashleigh Cagney, said the event is a highlight of the Council’s annual calendar, bringing the community together to celebrate the vital contributions of women.
“International Women’s Day is an opportunity to recognise the achievements of women in all aspects of life – from the workplace to the home, and within the community,” she said.
“This year’s theme, Accelerate Action, reminds us that it’s time to turn promises into progress. Together, we can break barriers, celebrate achievements, and create a future where every woman has the opportunity to thrive.

“Our Camden community is full of inspiring women who make a real difference every day. I’m proud to work alongside incredible female leaders, both on Council and within our organisation, as we champion equality and strive to create a more inclusive world.
“This year’s gala promises to be an inspiring and empowering evening, and I encourage everyone to secure their tickets early to avoid missing out.”
Tickets are $110 per person or $1,000 for a table of 10, including a two-course meal, drinks package, and a gift.
Proceeds from the evening will go towards a local charity, soon to be announced, Council said in a statement.
