Brisbane will turn pink tonight in memory of Hannah Clarke and her three children Aaliyah, Laianah and Trey, one year on from their tragic deaths at the hands of Hannah’s estranged partner, Brisbane City Council announced today.
Their legacy lives on through the Small Steps 4 Hannah Foundation, a movement for change which exists to put a HALT to domestic and family violence.
Hannah’s parents, Lloyd and Sue Clarke, say they hope the criminalisation of coercive control in Queensland will be their daughter’s legacy, as they mark one year since her murder.
They set up the Small Steps 4 Hannah Foundation to push for law changes and educate senior high schoolers and families about the danger signs of abusive relationships.
