Works continue to clear Rozelle wetlands algal bloom

NSW

A meeting was held this week between officers of Sydney’s Inner West Council and Transurban to discuss the remediation of the blue-green algal bloom in the Rozelle Parklands Wetlands.

In a statement following the meeting, Council says both parties were working collaboratively to address the blue-green algal bloom in the wetlands, with Transurban continuing to treat the bloom at this stage with manual removal.

Transurban advised that a Management Plan is being developed to address the issues that created the bloom in the first instance and will be keeping Inner West Council informed as the Management Plan is finalised, the Council said.
