Wollondilly symposium to tap into water concerns

Wollondilly Council will host a Water Symposium to outline how water supply will be provided for the growing region and answer community questions.

A panel of representatives from Sydney Water, Department of Planning Industry & Environment, Water NSW and Council will address water issues and respond to questions from attendees at the event, and online participants.

“Our Shire is growing now and it is critical we prepare well for the future growth to come as well as drought and other climate impacts,” said Wollondilly Mayor, Robert Khan.

“Having the key agencies together to outline their plans, answer questions and address the concerns of our community is a positive step forward.”

The Water Symposium is being held in response to a resolution made at the Ordinary Council meeting of 16 March 2021. It will run from 6pm to 7.30pm on Wednesday, 19 May at Council Chambers and via Zoom.
