Warrumbungle Mayor re-elected

The Warrumbungle Shire Council’s Mayoral elections have concluded with Councillor, Kathryn Rindfleish, re-elected as Mayor in an uncontested vote and Councillor, Jason Newton, elected as Deputy Mayor. 

“Kathryn and her family have been part of the Coolah community for many years. With qualifications in Early Childhood and Business Management, Kathryn is a proud small business owner of multiple businesses in Coolah,” the Council said in a statement.

Mayor Rindfleish is also President of Coolah Chamber of Commerce and Treasurer of Coolah Swimming Club.

“Kathryn is passionate about local government and continuing to support all towns/villages, and residents in the Warrumbungle Shire. In her spare time Kathryn enjoys, playing golf swimming, holidaying, and spending time with family and friends,” Council said.

Warrumbungle Shire Council Acting General Manager, Lindsay Mason, joined with the remaining Councillors to congratulate both the Mayor and Deputy Mayor on their election. The positions will be held until the mayoral elections in September 2026.
