Warrumbungle council connects communities with new online directory

Warrumbungle Shire Council has launched new online community directories, making it easier for residents and visitors to find local services, community groups, events and businesses across the region.

The new MyCity platform brings everything together in one place, helping people discover what’s happening in their local area, connect with services, and get involved in community life.

The directories include a Community Directory, Business Directory and Community Events Calendar, creating a central hub for information that supports stronger, more connected communities across the Warrumbungle Shire.

Council General Manager, Lindsay Mason said the new directories will improve access to information while supporting local organisations and businesses.

“These directories make it easier for people to find and connect with what’s happening in their community, whether that’s local services, events or businesses,” Mr Mason said.

“They also give organisations the ability to manage their own information, helping ensure listings stay accurate and up to date, while increasing their visibility across the region.”

The platform provides a free and accessible way for community groups, service providers and businesses to promote what they do, reach more people, and grow their presence within the community.

By making it easier to find local information, the directories help people discover new opportunities, attend events, support local businesses, and feel more connected to where they live.

Council is encouraging local groups, service providers, businesses and event organisers to create a listing and be part of building a more visible, connected and active community.

Residents can browse the directories at any time, while organisations can create an account to add and manage their own listings.
