Strathbogie rolls out new grader

An impressive new grader can be spotted on Strathbogie Shire’s gravel roads as the machinery joins the fleet to undertake the Victorian council’s grading program.

Shire of Strathbogie Council says the new John Deere grader is responsible for the important task of maintaining almost 1,500 km of local gravel roads.

“If the condition of those roads is outside pre-determined defect levels, they are prioritised and programmed for maintenance,” said Strathbogie Mayor, Laura Binks.

“The new machine is one of three graders employed by Council to work across roads on rotation.”
