Shellharbour City Council has formally adopted its key planning and financial documents for 2026/27, which include a $107 million capital works program, $27 million in renewal works and $80 million for new projects.
The adopted suite includes the Delivery Program 2025-2029 and Operational Plan 2026-2027, along with the Annual Budget, Fees and Charges, Rates Policy, and Long-Term Financial Plan 2026-2036.
Mayor, Chris Homer said the adoption of the plans was an important step in delivering on Council’s long-term vision for the community.
“These plans provide a clear and responsible roadmap for the future of Shellharbour,” Mayor Homer said.
“We thank our community for their input, which has helped ensure these plans reflect local priorities.
“Council is committed to transparent decision-making and ensuring our plans deliver real outcomes for residents now and into the future.”
The adopted budget includes funding to support major infrastructure such as the Tripoli Way Extension, Yellow Rock Road Stage, the Shellharbour Boathouse and Shell Cove Sportsfield.
