Goulburn Mulwaree Council has officially opened a new accessible playground at Marulan.
The new playground at Tony Onions Park was officially opened by Member for Goulburn and former NSW Local Government Minister, Wendy Tuckerman; Goulburn Mayor, Peter Walker and students from Marulan Public School.
The playground features accessible and discovery play areas, adult-child interaction areas, and seating areas that allow people to stay longer.
It was funded through a joint contribution of $200,000 from the State Government’s Everyone Can Play program and Goulburn Mulwaree Council.
The Council says the project aligns with the fund’s objectives to provide play spaces that cater for all ages, abilities, and family units.
“The installation of new play equipment in Marulan was especially important given its
projected population growth and stopping off point for families travelling between Sydney
and Canberra on the Hume Highway,” Council said in a statement.
