Kiama Municipal Council has announced the appointment of Darren Brady as its Director of Infrastructure & Operations.
Mr Brady (pictured) is an experienced civil engineering manager with experience in both State and Local Government, including previous roles with Campbelltown, Fairfield, Liverpool and Wollongong councils, and with Kiama Council between 2006 and 2022.
“I’m very excited to be back working within the Municipality that is Kiama. It’s great to see what has been achieved since I was last with council 3 years ago, and I look forward to being able to lead the way when it comes to delivering more great work in the coming months.” Mr Brady said.
Mr Brady has most recently worked with Transport NSW as a Natural Disaster Recovery Project Manager, where he oversaw and approved hundreds of disaster recovery infrastructure projects across several LGAs with approximate total value of over $200 million in the last three years, the Council said in a statement.
Mr Brady has a long association with the local government sector and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Infrastructure & Operations department, said Council CEO, Jane Stroud.
“It is wonderful to have Darren back with Kiama Council in this leadership role, his established connections to staff and community will be welcomed as he takes on this executive position within council,” said Ms Stroud.
