Kempsey Shire Councillors have elected a new Deputy Mayor at a meeting today.
Kerri Riddington (pictured) will take on the role from Councillor Anthony Patterson, who has stepped down from the role.
The new Deputy Mayor thanked her fellow Councillors for their support.
“Thank you very much Mr Mayor and fellow councillors, I really hope that we can work through the next year in a collegiate way,” said Councillor Riddington.
“I feel that I can bring years of experience both in the private and public sector to the role. I’m about listening. I’m about communication.
“I’ve tried to work really hard for the community. I bring a level head. I also bring a friendly and approachable nature,” she said.
