WA’s City of Swan Council has appointed David Trevaskis as its new Executive Director Corporate.
Mr Trevaskis (pictured) was previously Shire of Moora Council’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer before moving to the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder where he was General Manager Finance and Corporate/Chief Financial Officer, and then Deputy Chief Executive/Director Corporate Services.
Mr Trevaskis says he is looking forward to joining the City of Swan and settling into his new role.
“This is a fantastic opportunity and I am really excited to get started,” he said.
“My background is in regional local government so I am looking forward to being part of a local government with such beautifully diverse communities, industries and landscapes.”
Council Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Cain said he was pleased to welcome Mr Trevaskis to the City.
“The City of Swan is one of the fastest growing in the Perth metropolitan area and I’m pleased to lead a strong team of Executive Directors who work together to ensure our community’s growing needs are met,” he said.
“I believe David will be an asset to the team with his extensive experience and expertise in local government, and I look forward to having him on board.”
Mr Trevaskis will step into the role on 12 June.
