Meet Kate Rosier, Aurukun Shire Council’s newly appointed CEO, who starts today in the Council’s Cairns office and will arrive in Aurukun on Thursday.
Ms Rosier joins the Shire Council from Toowoomba Regional Council’s Planning and Development team after starting her career working with remote communities for the Department of Children and Families in Alice Springs, where her interest in whole of community wellbeing was first piqued.
“I am thrilled about being part of a team that knows and values their community and am honoured to have been selected as Aurukun Shire Council’s new CEO,” she said.
“I look forward to joining the community, listening to the Wik people, exploring country, and learning about the opportunities and challenges within the Shire.”
