Lisa Miscamble has been named Wingecarribee Shire Council’s new General Manager.
Council’s Interim Administrator, Viv May, made the announcement at an Extraordinary Meeting of Council held today.
“Following an extensive recruitment and interview process, I’m pleased to welcome Ms Miscamble to Wingecarribee Shire Council,” Mr May said.
Ms Miscamble (pictured) most recently held the position of General Manager at Hunter’s Hill Council.
“I believe Ms Miscamble’s considerable knowledge, skills and experience will help restore the community’s confidence in the Council and the effective functioning of the organisation,” Mr May said.
She will commence duties as General Manager on June 21 on a five-year performance-based contract.
“I am delighted to be joining Wingecarribee Shire Council and to lead the organisation at this critical time,” Ms Miscamble said.
“The Southern Highlands is a very special part of the world and I look forward to making a positive contribution to its future.”
Joining Ms Miscamble will be Marissa Racomelara, who Mr May described as an expert in transformation change, organisational structure and governance. Ms Racomelara will join Council on a short-term arrangement as Acting Deputy General Manager until after the September elections overseeing the induction of the new councillors and adoption of new Council structure.
The Interim Administrator said the vacant position attracted a strong field of candidates with five candidates being short-listed for interview.
“The calibre of final applicants was extremely high however the panel was ultimately unanimous in its final decision to recommend Ms Miscamble,” Mr May said.
“I wish to thank Ms Christine Hawkins AM, Ms Kelly Hayes and Mr John Rayner PSM for their time and expertise in assisting in the interview process.”
