Snowy Monaro Regional Council has instituted a 4.5 tonne load limit on a concrete bridge which crosses the Maclaughlin River on Boco Road at Boco.
Consultants assessing disaster damaged infrastructure in the region have determined that due to damage sustained during recent heavy wet weather events, the load limit must be introduced for reasons of public safety, Council said in a statement.
Council says it will be meeting with disaster funding agencies within the NSW Government to discuss options for addressing local infrastructure issues.
The bridge remains safe for road users observing the 4.5 tonne load limit.
