Lithgow City Council has unveiled a new visual façade on the exterior of the Wallerawang Library.
The Council says the new exterior design reflects the library’s mission to be a hub of knowledge, culture, and engagement in the Wallerawang community.
“This new look will enhance the visibility of the library making it more inviting and accessible to all members of our community,” said Mayor, Maree Statham (pictured, right) who visited the Wallerawang library to inspect the new decorations.
Mayor Statham highlighted the benefits of improving the look of the library building saying, “We are confident that this fresh look will not only attract more locals to the library but also contribute to a sense of community pride for Wallerawang residents.”
The Mayor says the new look comes as the Council continues to expand the offerings available in its network of libraries including storytimes, author talks and other community events.
It contributes to ongoing work to ensure the library facilities are modern, comfortable and welcoming, she said.
A major part of this work is the Lithgow Library refurbishment which is expected to be completed in the middle of this year.
