Queensland’s Murweh Shire Council has appointed Bruce Scott OAM (pictured) as its interim Chief Executive Officer.
With 22 years in local government, Mr Scott offers extensive managerial expertise from both the public sector and non-profit boards, said Mayor, Shaun Radnedge.
“Given Bruce’s qualifications, especially his Order of Australia Medal, we eagerly anticipate working alongside him,” said Mayor Radnedge.
Mr Scott takes up the position following the departure of the previous CEO, who did not pass the probationary period.
Council says it will soon initiate the process of entering the open market to recruit a full-time CEO.
“We’re excited to have Bruce as our interim CEO during this transitional phase,” said Mayor Radnedge.
