Gunnedah Shire Councillors have voted to defer a decision about a proposed Special Rate Variation (SRV) until a further Councillor workshop has been held.
Council held extensive community engagement about a proposed Special Rate Variation ahead of the election and a report on the consultation was presented to Councillors at the Ordinary October meeting alongside a revised SRV proposal.
“Councillors voted to have further discussion about the options available and the matter is expected to come back to an Extraordinary Council Meeting in the next couple of weeks at a date to be determined,” Council said in a statement.
